On November 6, the 1st Kanazawa University Miyamoto Prize Award Ceremony and Lecture took place at the Step Hall of the Biomass and Green Innovation Center of Kanazawa University. About 35 people from inside and outside of the university attended the Ceremony.
Kanazawa University Miyamoto Prize was established in 2024 with funds donated by Dr. Kenichi Miyamoto with the purpose to honor researchers who have made outstanding achievements in the social sciences related to finance, community, autonomy, and the environment, and to contribute to society and the further development of academic research in Japan.
At the award ceremony, Kanazawa University President Takashi Wada presented the award certificates and supplementary prizes to the winners in the presence of Mr. Miyamoto. In the lecture session that followed, the award winners gave lectures on their research and civic activities.
