On October 25, the Strategic Project for Supporting Doctoral Researchers and Strengthening Research Capability (HaKaSe+) and Career Support Office held an exchange meeting between doctoral students and companies - the fourth session of the "KU Doctoral Career Session 2024".
The event was attended by about 50 people, including current doctoral students and master's and pre-doctoral students who have decided to enter a doctoral course or doctoral program. NEC Corporation, Nuvoton Technology Japan Corporation, PFU Corporation, Pharmaranta Corporation, YKK Corporation, and YKK AP Corporation.
During the opening seminar, Kanazawa University Trustee Akiharu Morimoto gave greetings to the participating companies and students, explained the activities of career support for doctoral students at Kanazawa University and the purpose and significance of this exchange meeting, and encouraged the students. He advised the participating students to treasure the relationships that arise from chance encounters and to talk to many people from various companies to expand their future possibilities.
During the exchange meeting, 32 posters were presented by participating students in the Academic Promenade of the Natural Science and Technology Main Building, and the students enthusiastically explained their fields of expertise and research topics to the company representatives.
After that participating students visited the booths of 11 companies during the four sessions and actively asked questions about the characteristics of each company, the content of research and development work, and the doctoral personnel that the companies expected, and also listened to the company representatives' explanations attentively.
