On September 24, Research Center for Experimental Modeling of Human Disease held Memorial ceremony for laboratory animals 2024 together with Institute of Medical, Pharmaceutical and Health Sciences and Cancer Research Institute.

Approximately 160 faculty, staff, and students attended a moment of silence for the souls of the animals used in experiments for cutting-edge medical, pharmaceutical, and health science education and research, including cancer research, in front of the memorial for the experimental animal research facility. Professor Michihiro Mieda from Faculty of Medicine, Institute of Medical, Pharmaceutical and Health Sciences of Medical, Pharmaceutical and Health Sciences and Chairman of the Animal Experimentation Committee, delivered a speech of gratitude.

Next, all participantss, including Trustee Shinichi Nakamura, put flowers and expressed their gratitude and condolences.

Finally, Director of the Laboratory Animal Research Facility, Research Center for Experimental Modeling of Human Disease - Professor Takiko Daikoku explained a new system for the use of facility and requested further utilization of the facility.
