On October 2, 20 faculty members participated in "The 1st Sabbatical Training Result Debriefing Session 2024" in hybrid format.

Sabbatical training is a system that started in 2014 with the aim of improving the quality of education and research by exempting faculty members from their duties at university for a certain period of time and devoting themselves to research in Japan and abroad during that period. 79 reserchers have taken Sabbatical training by 2023 year.

At the debriefing session, Trustee Miura gave a greeting, followed by three faculty members who completed their training by the end of March 2024 and presented their research results obtained during the training, the formation of networks with overseas researchers, and their impressions of using the system.

Trustee Miura commented: "I think all three of you have achieved results that will lead to the future, not only in writing papers, but also in exchanges with overseas researchers and the development of new international collaborative research, which is truly typical of sabbatical training. I hope that young and mid-career researchers in particular will actively apply for sabbatical training in the future, following in the footsteps of those who presented today".
