On July 30th, Health Service Center held a nutrition education program, “Easy Breakfast Soup Tasting Event with Plenty of Vegetables,” in the General Education Lecture Building as part of its student support efforts.
The purpose of this tasting event was to prevent students from skipping breakfast by introducing them simple recipes for soups and other dishes. Student volunteers from the center, under the guidance of a registered dietitian, provided take-out soups with recipes.
The menu for this event was "Supporting Noto! Japanese-style Kaga vegetable soup using Sugiyo ingredients" and "Cold minestrone soup using seasonal summer vegetables." Crab sticks from Sugiyo, a food processing company based in Nanao City, Ishikawa Prefecture, were used in the Japanese-style Kaga vegetable soup.
Buyers commented, "The Japanese-style Kaga vegetable soup was very delicious with ginger, and it was an opportunity to learn what kind of vegetables are famous in the region" and "The cold minestrone had a rich taste and was delicious because you could enjoy the texture of various vegetables. The cold soup was very nice in the hot season" and "The soup was very tasty with plenty of ingredients and nutrients."
This time, we received an offer from the Ishikawa Prefecture Dietetic Association to provide disaster relief, and the event was co-hosted by KEYPAT *, with Amino Vital provided by the association being distributed to those who purchased soup.
