In July 12, three delegates from UNESCO National Commission of South Korea, Indonesia, and Bangladesh visited Kanazawa University to learn about UNESCO Chair activities. The visit was coordinated by the Japanese National Commission for UNESCO of Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT).
During their visit the delegates met with the Trustee of Kanazawa University, Prof. MIURA Kaname and Deputy-director of International Japan Research center Prof. OTA Akira. Later, Associate Professor and UNESCO Chair holder MAMMADOVA Aida, gave lecture about UNESCO Chair activities on Intergenerational learning for Sustainable Development and ESD activities within Mt.Hakusan Biosphere Reserve and Hakusan Tedorigawa UNESCO Global Geopark.
The meeting provided the delegates with insights of the role of Kanazawa University as UNESCO Chair and underscored the importance of international dialogue and cooperation in promoting global cultural and educational exchanges.
