On May 27, a special lecture entitled "Urban Development of Nihonbashi: Creating while Reviving while Preserving" was held in the Natural Science and Technology Library Building with Mr. Masanobu Komoda, Chairman of the Board of Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd.
In his lecture on the evolution of Tokyo's Nihonbashi district and the company's urban development, Mr. Komoda highlighted the company's philosophy of "utilizing unique strengths," "people playing a leading role," and "improving the quality of life over time," and said that the completion of a building is not a goal but a start, and that the company will contribute to creating an attractive district.
After the special lecture, Mr. Komoda was invited as a guest speaker to hold ZATSUDAN NO CHIKARA "Let's all think about Kanazawa's urban development - what to leave behind and what to create" for students of Kanazawa University at Natural Science and Technology Library Open Studio. Through this dialogue, the participating students deepened their understanding of urban development and regional revitalization.
Mr. Komoda encouraged the students, "The university years are a precious time when you can control your own time, so I want you to challenge what you decide to do without being bound by preconceived notions".
