On June 13, a special lecture entitled "How to Learn and Work to Live True to Yourself" was given by Ms. Kiyoko Kobayashi, Vice President of YKK Corporation, in the Natural Science and Technology Main Building, and was attended by about 70 students, faculty, staff, and executives from Kanazawa University.
Reflecting on her own career experiences and unexpected events, Ms. Kobayashi encouraged the students by saying, "A career is just like life, and miscalculations are bound to occur."
After the special lecture, ZATSUDAN NO CHIKARA "Think about Unconscious Bias Around You" was held for Kanazawa University students with Ms. Kobayashi as a guest speaker. The participating students deepened their understanding of the many "unconscious biases" that lurk in our daily lives, and discussed with Ms. Kobayashi what is necessary to eliminate these biases and respect others.
In closing, Ms. Kobayashi sent a message to the students, "I want you to challenge various things from now on, believing in your own potential without any bias".
