Kanazawa University’s first strategic partnership agreement was concluded with the University of Regensburg

On June 6th, 2024, a delegation led by Vice President Hasebe on behalf of President Wada, visited Germany and concluded Kanazawa University's first strategic partnership agreement with the University of Regensburg.

A strategic partnership is a framework for building closer mutually beneficial relationships that surpass ordinary university exchange agreements, with universities that have particularly notable exchange achievements with our university, in order to further develop collaboration in education and research and expand our international presence.

The University of Regensburg and Kanazawa University have a track record of exchange through study abroad programs for over 20 years, as well as the achievements of cooperation in the fields of Japanese language and culture, German language, and physics. The two universities have now agreed to advance cooperation in a wide range of fields.

At the signing ceremony, Prof. Dr. Udo Hebel, President of the University of Regensburg expressed his hope that the agreement will lead to strengthened collaboration between the two universities in various fields.?

Kanazawa University will continue to enhance the partnership with overseas universities and work to further develop international education and research exchanges.
