On June 4th, a management training session for national university corporations and other institutions in the Hokuriku region was held, with 21 participants from five institutions.
This training course is designed to improve the management skills of staff members who have been promoted to the Executive Director and Director ranks for less than three years.
First, Mr. Tatsuhiro Shiokawa of Kanazawa University Secretary General gave a lecture titled "Various Circumstances Surrounding Higher Education and Roles of Managers". Mr. Nobuhiko Kasai of BCon Learning Services, Inc. then gave a lecture on the management of "organization" and "people" required of managers.
In the midst of a drastically changing environment surrounding national university corporations, participants learned about the roles and behaviors required of managers in the new era and actively exchanged opinions, building a network that transcended institutional boundaries.
