On June? ?12, the Graduate School of Professional Development in Teacher Education and Noto Resilience and Revitalization Center Education and Training Working Group held a seminar titled "Learning about Supporting Children in Times of Disasters" by Mr. Munetake Yamada, Program Manager of the Domestic Operations Division of Save the Children Japan.
?Approximately 100 people (53 face-to-face) from Graduate School of Professional Development in Teacher Education, students, faculty, staff, and organizations that support children's learning participated in person and via video recording. Through group work, participants deepened their understanding of the key points of support and contact necessary for children, not only immediately after a disaster, but also in the mid- to long-term phases of a disaster.
This seminar was also held as part of the "Noto Peninsula Earthquake Reconstruction Support Seminar" organized by the University Consortium Ishikawa.
