On May 20, KEYPAT(*1), a support team for mental health care, held a lecture titled "Mental Health Care for People Providing Support in Disaster Areas" by Emeritus Professor
Yutaka Matsui of Tsukuba University.
He gave an easy-to-understand lecture about "disaster stress" that feels rescuers, volunteers, and journalists at disastrous sites with specific examples.
160 participants: Kanazawa University students, faculty staff, and local citizens participated in lecture on place, online and by watching a recording of the lecture. Many of participants that time were volunteers, including students and faculty members who had gone to evacuation centers to provide learning support.
The lecture provided a meaningful opportunity to discuss mental health care for those who provided support.
