On Tuesday, November 12, Gakusei Social Studies Field Trip will take place for Kanazawa University students as part of the Leading STEAM Human Resource Development Program (KU-STEAM).
The Gakusei Social Studies Field Trip promotes multifaceted thinking among students through experiences and interactions with people that make the most of the local community, and provides an opportunity to create new solutions to social issues and innovations.
The spot we will visit this time is "Hachiban Foods Park (Hachiban Co., Ltd. main factory).

Outline of the spot we will visit [Hachiban Co.
Hachiban Corporation was established in 1967 as the first "8-ban Ramen" store along Route 8 in Kaga City, Ishikawa Prefecture.
The "Vegetable Ramen," which has been on the menu since the establishment, is a signature product loved by local customers.
The restaurant's goal is to "bring smiles and energy to people and the town through food and hospitality. The company is currently engaged in the production of fresh Chinese noodles, ramen sauces, and fresh-frozen dumplings, as well as the franchising of No. 8 Ramen.
We are currently engaged in the manufacture of fresh Chinese noodles, ramen sauces, and fresh frozen dumplings, the management of the 8-ban Ramen franchise chain, and the operation of ramen stores and Japanese-style restaurants.
Structure of Gakusei Social Studies Tour
Company introduction: hearing an explanation about Hachiban Corporation's activities, such as the secret story of its founding, franchising, overseas expansion, and product development from the person in charge.

Factory tour: observing the quality control and production process of noodles and dumplings at Hachiban's main factory.
Q&A session: participants will deepen their understanding of Hachiban through a Q&A session.

Notes
Participation is by pre-entry only. No entries will be accepted on the day of the event.
If there are too many applicants, a lottery will be held. You will be notified within one week after the application deadline.
The priority will be given to the first and second year applicants.
There is no participation fee, but participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from the meeting place and for food and beverages.
The time of the event can be changed due to road conditions.
Photos and videos will be taken on the day of the event for recording and publicity purposes.
Please make sure that you have the insurance Gakkensai. Those who do not have insurance will not be allowed to participate in the event.
If you have lectures or other classes at the university, please give priority to classes.
No credit(points) will be given.

If you find that you will not be able to participate, please contact us as soon as possible.
If you are absent without notice, you may be restricted from attending the next and subsequent sessions.
Please refrain from participating if any of the following apply on the day of the event: (1) If you are not in good physical condition.
(1) If you are not feeling well (e.g., fever, cough, sore throat, etc.)
(2) If you have a family member living with you or a close acquaintance who is suspected of having an infectious disease.
