On June 14, following last year’s event, a welcome gathering was held at Sumire-tei, a restaurant at Kanazawa University (KU), for the students of King Mongkut’s University of Technology-Thonburi (KMUTT) and the students of KU.

This event was organized on the occasion of the visit by Dr. Anak Khantachawana, Advisor to the President for International Affairs of KMUTT and the Collaborative Professor of KU, to our campus. After the greeting remarks from Professor Yoshio Otani, Vice President for International Affairs, and Dr. Anak Khantachawana, 21 students from KMUTT and 30 students from KU who have visited or plan to visit KMUTT in this year’s exchange program, enjoyed conversation about their countries’ cultures, etc., and deepened their friendship. At the end of the event, the students made promises of reunion and lasting friendship.

KMUTT is the top priority partner in our strategies for the Top Global University Project, and since last year, KU is sending about 100 students to KMUTT. The welcome gathering is expected to further promote the exchanges between the two universities.
