On February 8th, Rector Ilshat Gafurov and Prof. Dmitrii Tayurskii from Kazan Federal University (Russia) met President of Kanazawa University.
In 1993, Faculty of Science of Kanazawa University and Kazan Federal University concluded the Agreement at faculty level. This was upgraded to a university level agreement in 1998. Since then, mutual exchange of teachers and students has continued between the two universities.
President Shin-ichi Nakamura, Vice President Isamu Nagano in charge of Research and International Affairs, Prof. Koetsu Yamazaki, Dean of Institute of Science and Engineering, Prof. Hiroshi Yamamoto, Dean of Institute of Medical, Pharmaceutical and Health Sciences, Prof. Yoshihiro Fukumori, Dean of Natural Science and Technology, Prof. Koichi Matsumoto from Institute of Science and Engineering, along with other members attended the meeting. Both universities agreed to continue cooperation in the fields of engineering and medicine.
