On June 30, a welcome event was held at Sumire-tei, a restaurant at Kanazawa University (KU), for the students of King Mongkut’s University of Technology-Thonburi (KMUTT), Dr. Anak Khantachawana, Advisor to the President for International Affairs of KMUTT and the Collaborative Professor of KU, and the students, faculty and staff of KU.
After the greeting remarks from Professor Tomoaki Takayama, Advisor to the President for International Affairs, and Dr. Anak Khantachawana, 19 students from KMUTT in a short-term exchange program to KU and 24 students from KU who plan to visit KMUTT in this year’s exchange programs, enjoyed conversation about their countries’ cultures, etc., and deepened their friendship. Dr. Koetsu Yamazaki, President of KU, joined the event and encouraged the students from both universities. The event was very meaningful for all participants. At the end of the event, the students made promises to reunion and lasting friendship.
KMUTT is the top priority partner in our strategies for the Top Global University Project, and this year, KU plans to send about 100 students to KMUTT. The welcome gathering is expected to further promote the exchanges between the two universities.
