On August 25, the Opening Ceremony for JICA Hokuriku-Kanazawa University Issue-Specific Training Course, “Educational Administration, Financial System and School Management for Expansion of Basic Education in Middle East” took place in the Special Conference Room, 5F Main Administration Building.
After Vice President for International Affairs Hiroshi Yamamoto, Proxy Director of JICA Hokuriku Koichi Takizawa and Professor Shunji Tanabe of Institute of Human and Social Sciences who is the Course Leader offered their greetings, the representative of participants expressed his anticipation for the Course. After the ceremony, the participants introduced themselves and enjoyed conversation with Vice President Yamamoto.
In the Course, 13 officers of educational departments from 4 nations, Egypt, Iraq, Morocco and Palestine, will participate in a program spanning rom August 25 to September 9, and with Kanazawa University as the base, they plan to make interaction through observation of elementary and middle schools and other facilities with cooperation from the Educational Committee of Ishikawa, Kanazawa City, Hakusan City, etc. The participants are expected to make use of their experiences in Japan under this course, and take part in the improvement of school management in their own countries.
