On December 7, Prof. dr. Rik Van de Walle, Rector of Ghent University, Belgium, Prof. Andreas Niehaus, Prof. Anna Andreeva of the Japanese Studies and other associates visited Kanazawa University, and KU Graduate School of Human and Socio-Environmental Studies concluded an agreement with the Department of Oriental Languages and Cultures – Main Subject Japan, Faculty of Arts and Philosophy, Ghent University, regarding the implementation of international double master’s degree program.
Prior to the signing ceremony, the delegates paid a courtesy visit to Professor SHIMURA Megumi, Vice-President (International Affairs). There was a lively exchange of ideas about multilayering and deepening the collaboration and exchanges between the two universities.
After the ceremony, exchange students from Ghent University reported on their studies and living conditions in Kanazawa, and the participants shared a renewed awareness of the importance of studying abroad.
The delegation was given a tour of the lecture building of the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences and the library, through which they were introduced to the history, education, research, and other aspects of KU.
