Saudi Arabian Cultural Attaché Visits President Nakamura

On Monday, March 5, Dr. Eng. Essam Bukhary, Cultural Attaché from the　Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Japan, Mr. Bader Al-Otaibi, Administrative Officer from the Cultural Office of the Embassy, and Ms. Seiko Hoshikawa, a Cultural Office staff, paid a courtesy visit to President Shin-ichi Nakamura. Vice President for Research and International Affairs Isamu Nagano was also present at the meeting. The purpose of the visit was to promote interaction between Saudi Arabian universities and our university, such as the agreement for cooperation and exchange and student and researcher exchanges. At the meeting, they talked about the possibility of joint research with Saudi Arabian researchers, Saudi Arabian universities that are presently under consideration for partnership, and even Saudi Arabian geography and culture. The conversation took place in a friendly atmosphere.
