The Kanazawa University English Language Capacity Building Program for Administrative Staff Begins

On September 2, the Kanazawa University English Language Capacity Building Program for Administrative Staff began.

This is a part of the Top Global University Project (Super Global Universities) for which Kanazawa University has been chosen and aims to improve the English ability of administrative staff who must take part in the globalization of education and research at the university and who are expected to be globally capable.

Twenty-one administrative staff in the Staff TOEIC Course aim to achieve at least Second Grade in the Test of Practical English or TOEIC 600 pts. Thirteen administrative staff in the Staff Business Course aim to improve their practical English ability. Native-speaking instructors at Kanazawa University Super Global ELP Center will teach them for four months.

The Opening Ceremony was held and Masahiro Arimatsu, Trustee(General Affairs, Human Resources and Facility), delivered the opening address in English. This marked the official start of the Kanazawa University English Language Capacity Building Program for Administrative Staff.
