On September 23, 12 trainees of Ifugao Satoyama Meister Training Program, 3 alumni of last year’s program, and 4 chaperone faculty members of Ifugao State University visited Kanazawa University and paid a courtesy visit to President Yamazaki.
At the meeting, Associate Professor Anthony Babkeg Cantes of Ifugao State University offered his greetings on behalf of the delegation, followed by self-introduction of each trainee, and active conversation took place until the closing time.
The trainees arrived in Japan on September 19, and they will take part in the program until September 24. The program agenda includes visit to Noto senmaida (rice terraces) and farmers’ houses. The trainees are expected take advantage of their experience in Japan and to involve themselves in activities as Satoyama Meister in their home country.
